Two concerts and monster truck show complete state fair grandstand line-up

SEDALIA, Mo. – Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe has announced the final three nights of entertainment planned for the 2023 State Fair Grandstand, presented by CFM Insurance.

Two concerts and monster truck show are planned.

The Outlaw Nationals Monster Truck Show will roar through the State Fair Grandstand at 7 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 15. A pit party is planned prior to the show for all ticketed attendees. Tickets for the monster truck show are $35 for adults, $15 for youth age 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.

The County Comeback Tour featuring Shenandoah, Billy Dean and Wade Hayes will entertain audiences on Thursday, Aug. 17 with ticket prices at $20 and $30. GRAMMY, CMA and ACM-winning hitmakers Shenandoah are celebrated for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses,” “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next to Me.”

Billy Dean, a GRAMMY-nominated and ACM Award-Winning American troubadour, has performed and toured with some of the industry’s biggest country music stars. His music has become the soundtrack to our lives with such hits as “Billy the Kid,” “We Just Disagree” and ACM Song of the Year “Somewhere in My Broken Heart.”

Wade Hayes was in his early 20s when he began churning out such enduring hits as “Old Enough to Know Better,” “I’m Still Dancing with You” and “On a Good Night.” His recent song “Go Live Your Life” is an upbeat anthem about making the most of every day and reveling in the things that bring you happiness, and is inspired by surviving cancer twice.

Riley Green with Randy Houser will close out the final night of concerts in the State Fair Grandstand on Saturday, Aug. 19 with ticket prices at $45 and $50. Raised on the sounds of traditional country, bluegrass and southern gospel music,

Riley Green learned the spirit of songwriting and performing at a young age while spending time with his grandfather. That laid a foundation for the songs Green would craft in the years to come and values learned from another generation. He fittingly shares co-writing credits posthumously alongside his two grandfathers on the 2XPLATINUM certified “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”

His debut album Different ‘Round Here, featured PLATINUM-certified No. 1 “There Was This Girl,” and his Behind the Bar collection with GOLD-certified “If It Wasn’t For Trucks” followed. Green was named 2020 ACM Awards New Male Artist of the Year, CMT’s Listen Up Artist and MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year.

With an inimitable voice The New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up three consecutive No. 1 hits and more than four million in singles sales to date with his album How Country Feels. He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like a Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 to his catalogue with “We Went.”

Also announced is three-time GRAMMY winner Rahzel as opening act for Nelly on Friday, Aug. 18.
