Milton Albert Rock

Milton Albert Rock, 94, of Hillsboro died April 29, 2023, in Cedar Hill. Mr. Rock was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Hollywood, Calif., in the same year Mickey Mouse was created in a studio across the street. He was the son of the late Albert Milton and Maybelle (Rapp) Rock. He lived in California for many years before moving to Missouri in 1964. He served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War. He was a longtime member of Christian Outreach Church and went on several international Missionary trips.

 

He is survived by his wife: Eula Shirley (Forrester) Rock of Hillsboro, whom he married Dec. 30 1949; four sons: Glyen L. (Phyllis) Rock of Ste. Genevieve, Gary A. Rock of Park Hills, Jerry W. (Terri) Tock of Leslie and Michael A. (Cheryl) Rock of Eureka; three daughters: Maybelle I. Goodrum of Hillsboro, Julie A. Kinsey of Hillsboro and Melody C. (Marty) Tindell of Pacific; and 68 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Harry H. Kinsey; a grandson: Grant D. Walton; a granddaughter: Stacey A. Arnett; a great-granddaughter: Kelsey Arnett; and a great-great-grandson: Jason Webb Jr.

 

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
