A funeral will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 for 54-year-old Michael “Mike” Aimsley Secoy of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023.
He was born October 17, 1968 in Staunton, Illinois to Ronald Wayne Secoy and Darlene Ferdinand (Phillippe) Secoy. His father survives in Duncan, Okla. His mother preceded him in death.
Michael is survived by his three daughters: Stormi Bruce of Scott City, Mo., McKayla Secoy of Perryville, Mo., and Christine Secoy of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; six brothers: Timothy (Miranda) Whaley of Coulterville, Ill., Victor (Nikkole) Whaley Jr. of Coulterville, Ill., Martin (Brooke) Secoy of Lawton, Okla., Casey (Melissa) Whaley of Benld, Ill., Joe (Michelle) Whaley of Evansville, Ind., Tony Whaley, Benld, Ill.,Dennis Whaley, Foley, Mo.; five sisters: Rani-Anne Secoy of Duncan, Okla. and Tanja (Pablo) Quintanilla of McAllen, Tex., Theresa (Mike) Thornton of Coulterville, Ill., Vickey Whaley of Coulterville, Ill., Becky (Mike) Link of Bethalto, Ill.; six grandchildren: Nova Aaron, Kayden Pulley, Kyla Pulley, Braxton Rinehart, Aimsley Secoy and Malakai Haskins.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father: Victor Whaley of Coulterville Ill.; grandparents: Louis and Eleanor Philippe; uncle: Duane Philippe and aunt: Paula Bierman.
Mike served honorably in the US Army 1987-1990 as a communications specialist. He was trained at the US Army Signal School at Ft Gordon, Georgia and was assigned to Schofield Army Barracks in Hawaii.
He held several positions including merchandising, sales, operations and district manager for a number of different companies. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management from the American Business and Technology Institute.
Mike’s pastimes included singing karaoke, particularly at the 505 Lounge; barbecuing, fishing, swimming and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 54-year-old Michael “Mike” Aimsley Secoy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Pastor Ben Chapman officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post 133.
