Cape Girardeau Roller Derby (CGRD) is set to face off against Memphis Roller Derby in CGRD’s first home bout of the season at the AC Brase Arena Building on Saturday, May 6. The doors open at 5pm and the action begins at 6:00! Tickets are $9 at the door or $7 in advance—get them at Annie Laurie’s, from a CGRD team member, or at www.CapeGirardeauRollerDerby.com/tix.
Roller derby is a full-contact sport so be ready to see some big hits. Concessions and drinks will be provided by our local VFW. Ticket proceeds will be donated to Tiger Lilies, a free local program for that provides mentorship opportunities for middle-school-age girls.
CGRD is a flat track roller derby team managed and run by skaters. The league is actively recruiting skaters, referees, and non-skating officials. Anyone aged 18 and older is eligible to join and no skating experience is required.
