Ste. Genevieve resumes flushing of fire hydrants today

STE GENEVIEVE– On Friday, April 7, the city’s water department (Alliance) will be flushing fire hydrants in the city.
They will begin on Fourth Street and work their way down to Main Street, then over to Market Street – with the following streets in between; LaPorte, LaHaye, Memorial, Washington, Jefferson and Merchant.
Locations will change daily as they move throughout the city.
There will be NO flushing of hydrants over the weekend. Flushing will resume on Monday. The next location will be posted as soon as I am notified where it will be.
While they are flushing hydrants in your area you may experience low/no water pressure and discolored water.
Please refrain from doing laundry, especially any white clothes, as it could stain your clothes.
