Despite the designation, as it remains today, this is really an extra session. Governors can call an extra session, while the Legislature itself has the power to call a special session.

 

In any event, this particular session starts on the last day of the regular session, March 29.

 

Lawmakers act on adjutant general fees; building new prisons; and how to handle land forfeiture for paying delinquent taxes.

 

This extra session would end the following day.
