JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 2,466 new cases of COVID-19 in the seven days ending March 12.
Older persons had the highest number of new cases: 122 for those aged 85 and up and 70 for those aged 65-84.
Only 18 new cases were recorded among persons aged 12-17.
There were 19 new cases among those under age 12.
The other categories: 18-24, 30 new cases; 25-44, 36 new cases and 45-64: 42 new cases.
Ste. Genevieve County had fewer than 10 new cases.
Perry County had fewer than 10 new cases.
Jefferson County had 38 new cases, St. Francois 42 new cases, Madison County 28 new cases, Bollinger fewer than 10 new cases, Cape Girardeau 44 new cases.
Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois and Jefferson Counties were labeled as having medium community levels.
Perry, Bollinger, and Cape Girardeau had low community levels.
Madison County is at a high level.
