Jerry “Jagan” Hagan, 67, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born May 8, 1955 in Perryville, MO to Jerome Edward Hagan and Catherine Sue (Ochs) Dunker.
Jerry and Carol Sauer were married February 20, 1976 at St.Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church the Knights of Columbus Council 1263, KC Fourth Degree Assembly 581 and an American Legion Post #133 Booster.
Jerry worked for Brewer Monument Co. from 1973 to 1981. Then he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad as an Electronic Technician Inspector from 1981 until he retired in 2015.
He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and Kansas City Chiefs Football. Jerry loved working on his farm, raising cattle, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Hagan of Perryville, MO; mother & step-father, Doug & Sue Dunker of Perryville, MO; two sons, Kyle (Kristi) Hagan of Perryville, MO, Keith (Colleen) Hagan of Belleville, IL; five siblings, Kathy (Greg) Tierney of Philadelphia, MO, Robert “Bob” (Barb) Hagan of Perryville, MO, Debra “Debbie” (Todd) Huber of Calhoun, GA, John (Cheryl) Hagan of Perryville, MO, Mary (Don) Steinberg of Bethalto, IL; brother-in-law, David Yamnitz of Perryville, MO; three granddaughters, Kira, Haylie & Alexa Hagan.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Karen Yamnitz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 and from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary will be Thursday at 8:30 am.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic with the Rev. Joe Geders C.M. Officiating.
Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent Educational Foundation.
