BLS: Midwest area prices were down 0.2 percent in November, up 6.8 percent over the year.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Prices in the Midwest Region, as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), declined 0.2 percent in November, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday.   The index for energy decreased by 3.7 percent in November, mainly due to a decline in the cost for gasoline.
