A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 for 69-year-old Shirley Louise Balsman of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at her home.
She was born July 26, 1953 in St. Louis, Mo. a daughter of Willard and Edna Louise (Mayo) Beinlein, who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by a special friend of 40 years: Larry Hudson of Perryville; a son: Jason Balsman of Perryville; a daughter: Jennifer (Arturo) Hernandez of Wardsville, Mo.; a brother: Willard “Larry” Beinlein of Perryville; five grandchildren: Maddyx Balsman, Stephanie Thompson, Amelia, Artie and Allison Hernandez; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
She was a custodian for Gilster Mary-Lee.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake, Mo.
Shirley was a very hard worker and was a caretaker of all.
She loved working at the St. Rose of Lima Church Picnic, sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking Christmas cookies.
Above all, she enjoyed simply spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. this Tuesday evening, November 29, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home and from 8-9:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mark Pranaitis officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
