STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.— On December 3, University of Missouri Extension and Ste. Genevieve County Health Department will hold a free workshop for childcare providers. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to meet state-mandated clock hours at one event. It provides 6-clock hours of material that will better prepare childcare staff to respond to the needs of the children in their care. The workshop will be held from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center Meeting Room.
Training topics will include “Seizure Disorders and Febrile Seizures in Childhood” with Danielle Vaeth of the Health Department. Estrella Carmona, MU Extension Community Engagement Specialist in Nutrition and Health Education, will present on “Managing Food Allergies in the Childcare Setting.” Finally, Brianna Anderson, MU Extension Field Specialist in Human Development, will cover “Supporting Children’s Grief in Early Childhood Programs.”
This workshop is in-person and interactive.
Registration is required. To register, contact the Health Department at (573) 883-7411.
