PERRYVILLE — Jeremy Tanz, the executive director of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission has released the season’s final ozone report for the 2022 ozone season running through October 31st.
According to the report, the month of October was on average nearly the same as September, but did have some spike days into the Moderate level for the Air Quality Index.
October had high readings of 62 ppb and 64 ppb on the Bonne Terre and Farrar monitors respectively on the 21st of the month.
Ending the season the fourth highest reading for the Bonne Terre monitor was 63 ppb while the Farrar monitor hit 67 ppb.
Factoring these into the 2020-2022 three year average the design values did increase this year up one ppb on the Bonne Terre montor to 63 ppb and an increase of two on the Farrar monitor to 64 ppb.
