Donald Elmer Prevallet, 88, of Blytheville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Heritage Square Nursing Home.
He was born March 16, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Elmer H. and Norma A (Muench) Prevallet.
Donald grew up in Perryville, Missouri and graduated from Perryville High School in 1952. He attended Valparaiso University and graduated from Valparaiso Law School in 1958.
Donald and Martha (Parker) Prevallet were married April 18, 1959 at St. James Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe, MI.
From 1959 to 1963, he went into the US Air Force and served active duty at Blytheville Air Force Base in Blytheville, Arkansas. He then joined a law firm in Blytheville that became Reid, Burge & Prevallet where he was an active attorney until he retired in 2018. Also during these years, he continued to serve in the USAF Reserves in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Offices until he retired in 1989 as a Full Colonel.
He was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church in Blytheville. Over the years, he served on many committees for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; his son, D. Paul (Kim) Prevallet of Blytheville, AR; brother, David (Gladys) Prevallet, Hermitage, TN; three grandchildren, Blair Winston, Bryan (Ashley) Winston and Baylor Winston all of Blytheville, AR; two great-grandchildren, Bentley Winston, Elena Winston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Anne Prevallet.
There will be a memorial service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville, MO on Saturday November 19th at 10:00 am with Military Honors provided by The United States Air Force and The American Legion Post #133.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Elmer H. & Norma A. Prevallet Scholarship through Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
