VetBiz receives $60,000 grant from Berges Family Foundation 

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – VetBiz has been awarded a $60,000 Berges Family Foundation grant to support program and service expansion for veteran and military affiliated entrepreneurs.

 

Funding will be used to impact the St. Louis region in the following ways:

  • Increase the number of veteran and military affiliated owned businesses.
  • Assist current veteran and military affiliated businesses with expansion.
  • Create jobs through these new and expanded businesses.

VetBiz President and Chief Fear Conqueror, Darcella Craven, says “We are very excited to have a new partnership with the Berges Family Foundation. This funding will assist us in impacting communities by building strong veteran and military family-owned businesses.”

 

This grant will be celebrated with a big check presentation at the VetBiz headquarters (611 N. 10th Street, Suite 350, St. Louis, MO 63101) on Monday, November 7th at 9:30am. Stakeholders, press, and community members are welcome to attend.

 

About VetBiz: VetBiz is a project of The Veterans Advocacy Foundation (VAF), a BBB accredited 501(c)3 nonprofit, that advocates for Veteran small business owners. Since 2004, VetBiz has been transitioning military service members into entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community leaders by providing access to resources, one-on-one counseling, and professional development training. VetBiz is impacting communities by building strong veteran and military family businesses and has counseled over 8,281 military members and their families and trained an additional 13,278 for a total of over 21,500 served. To date, VetBiz has assisted Veteran and Military affiliated clients attain over $25,000,000 in capital funding.
