Joe Allen Ward, 74, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.
He was born to Francis and Mary (nee Philips) Ward on December 4, 1947 in Murphysboro, Illinois.
He had worked in administration at Chester Mental Health Center. After retiring, he worked at Sparta Walmart for several years.
Joe was a member of Grace Church Ministries in Chester, Illinois.
He enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading.
Survivors: 3 Children: Daniel Ward, Chester, IL, Michelle (Charlie) Rinderer, Chester, IL and Keith Ward, Murphysboro, IL; 2 Step Children: Adrianne (Dustin) McGuire and Jeremy Jay; 4 Siblings: David, Mike, Fritz and Mary; 13 Grandchildren: Joshua A. Ward, Timothy R. Ward, Micheal J. Walker, Amanda M. M. Walker, Raven L. Rinderer, Lily M. Rinderer, Mikayla M. Rinderer, Harley N. (Ward) French, Amber R. Reeder, Evan Weaver, Rowan McGuire, Quinn McGuire and Willow McGuire; several Great Grandchildren; former Wives: Debra Jay and Alice Rogers and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends
