Roseman Patrick Tucker

A funeral will be held Thursday for 98-year-old Roseman Patrick Tucker of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away October 16, 2022 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

 

He was born March 16, 1924 in Lead, S.D.

 

He married Rita (Kist) Tucker on May 15, 1951.

 

He is survived by two daughters: Janis (Gene) Grein of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Judy (Bill) Snell of Pacific, Mo.; three sons, Gregory (Anita) Tucker of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Ronald (Sharon) Tucker of Bloomsdale, Mo., and John (Tina) Tucker of Chesterfield, Mo.; a son-in-law: Mark McBride of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife: Rita M. Tucker; son: Kenneth Tucker; daughter: Karen S. McBride; father: William Theodore Tucker; mother: Edith Caroline (Roseman) Tucker; three brothers: Walter Tucker, Joseph Tucker, and William Tucker.

 

Visitation will be 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 98-year-old Roseman Patrick Tucker of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.

 

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., with military services performed by VFW Post 2210.

 

Memorials may be made to Masses or to the American Heart Association.

 

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1037, American Legion Post 150 and VFW Post 2210.  

 

Roseman lived through many things during his 98 years of life.  

 

He worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps, he served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Corps of Engineers.  

 

He loved gardening especially his roses, and was a lifelong student of history.

 

Roseman served as the Grand Marshall of the 2021 Veterans Day Parade in Ste. Genevieve.  

 

Most of all in life, Roseman loved his family.
