Kathleen “Kathy” Ann McCune, 68 years, left this earth on October 11th, 2022 in St Louis, Mo.
Kathy was born to Herman and Minnie (Huber) Schumer on July 30th, 1954 in Perryville, Mo.
Kathy was a graduate of St. Vincent High School (Class of 1972) in Perryville, Mo where she met the love of her life, Clifford McCune.
Kathy and Cliff were married on June 3rd, 1972 and started their family in Perryville. In 1981, they decide to be adventurous and move to Tulsa, Ok where they raised their children.
In 1999, Kathy and Cliff made the decision to move back home to Perryville. For over 22 years you could find Kathy greeting her customers with a big smile at Hoeckele’s Bakery.
Kathy was known to have had a big heart and if you were lucky to be loved by her, you knew she loved you. Kathy cherished her family the most and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially during the Christmas season.
Kathy enjoyed many things, spending time with friends, working and collaborating on floats, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, making Christmas bows, and flower arrangements.
Kathy will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff McCune of the home, son Ryan (Becky) McCune of Tulsa, Ok., daughter Nikki (Jeff) Kipila of Perryville, Mo., six grandchildren Patrick (Lindsey) McCune Fort Worth, Tx., Kyle Price (Hanna) Bixby, Ok., Garrett (Hailey) Price Glenpool, Ok., Kelcey (Nolan) Cook Sapulpa, Ok., Kannon (Hannah) McCune Collinsville, Ok., Kamree (Will) Freisberg Topeka, Ks., five great grandchildren, Jhett Price, Ivy Price, Eli Price, Wrenlee Price, Merrick McCune, two brothers Russell Schumer Old Appleton, Mo., Steve (Sandra) Schumer Perryville, Mo., one sister Mary (Jerry) Schafroth Perryville, Mo, mother-in-law Mary Penner Perryville, Mo., one Brother-in-law Tom (Vicki) McCune Springfield, Mo., two sister-in-laws Renee (Allen) Christisen Perryville, Mo., Pam Johnson Perryville, Mo., numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy will be reunited with her mother Minnie Schumer, her father Herman Schumer, brother Roger Schumer, brother Allen Schumer, and brother Gary Schumer.
Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on Friday October 21st and from 8am-10am Saturday October 22nd at Ford and Young Funeral Home.
Memorial service will be 10am Saturday, October 22nd at Ford and Young Funeral Home. Following the service a celebration of life will be held.
Family has requested donations to be made in Kathy McCune’s name to St. Vincent Education Fund.
