Allen R. Korando, 84, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1938 in Chester, IL to Joseph P. & Phelomena Clementine (Bert) Korando.
Allen and Mabel A. Krumm were married June 1, 1963 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Perryville, MO. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2008.
He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer.
He was a US Army Veteran.
Allen was a member of IBEW Local #702 for the Illinois Power Co. where he was a tree trimmer. In his younger years Allen enjoyed working with his beehives and raising chickens.
Survivors include two daughters and one son, Shirley (Stanley) Johnson of Fredericktown, MO, Tina (Ronnie) Seders of Baldwin, IL, David Korando of Perryville, MO; four sisters and three brothers, Ellen (Cletus) Sanders of Campbell Hill, IL, Jeanie Cleinschmidt of Chester, IL, Gladys (Jim) Vellegas of Evansville, IL, Tom Korando of Perryville, MO, Robert “Bob” (Janet) Korando of Perryville, MO, Ruth (Jim) Mollet of Red Bud, IL, Walter Korando of Nashville, IL; three grandchildren, Clyde Austin III, Jeremiah Austin, Michaela Reauxmaine; two great-grandchildren, Shenna Serine, Christopher Austin; one great-great-grandson, Alexander Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Mabel A. Krumm; daughter, Sherry Korando; four brothers and one sister, Glen Korando, Wilford “Bud” Korando, Erna Volridge, Anthony “Tony” Korando.
Visitation will be from 7:30 am to 9:20 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with the Fr. Mark Pranaitis C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope in Perryville.
