JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Explore the night sky at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park as members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society set up telescopes from 8:45 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.
Telescopes set up in the monument field allow visitors to view the night sky. Telescopes will be pointed at various celestial objects, including Jupiter and its moons, Saturn and its rings, and the many star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.
Participants are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and binoculars.
Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park is located at 800 Guy Park Drive in Wildwood, west of St. Louis. For more information, please call 636-458-3813.
