4th Friday Art Walk set for June 24 in Ste. Genevieve 

STE. GENEVIEVE–Ste. Genevieve’s 4th Friday Art Walk on June 24 promises another “artful” weekend in Missouri’s most historic town.

 

“The Art Walk is always a fun event with excellent art on display,” a spokes-person for the Walk says. “And usually you can expect some surprises.”

 

The Art Walk will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the town’s historic downtown area.

 

The Sainte Genevieve Art Guild will have a new exhibit of original member artwork at the Art Center, including some unique work in unusual media. The Center is located at 310 Merchant Street on the Courthouse Square.

 

Also in the Courthouse Square area new exciting pieces will be on view at ASL Pewter.

 

In the same neighborhood you can watch a professional artist at work at Silver Sycamore Gallery of Fine Art where Leon Basler will be painting in the downstairs gallery starting around 6:30.  

 

The Ste. Genevieve Museum Learning Center has issued an invitation to “a happy hour under the summer sky” in the museum courtyard. The paid ticket event…which features offerings from Cave and Chaumette wineries and a chance to visit the museum…is limited to those age 21 and older.  

 

On Market Street the work of Iris Vincent wiss be displayed at QRSTea.

 

Music Art Love on North Main Street will feature artist Brenda Thompson and free live music by Paul Hogenmiller beginning at 4pm.

 

E•KleK•Tix Gallery & Studio on North Main will celebrate resident artist J Rissover’s upcoming 80th birthday and continues its display of art inspired by Ste. Genevieve’s French heritage.

 

Brix Winery, Only Child Originals, Rust and Masquerade will be open for the event also. Some other venues may participate. 

 

Most Art Walk activities are free and open to everyone.
