JEFFERSON CITY – A 43-year-old French Village man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Route Y in Ste. Genevieve County Saturday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Buddy J. Lay was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis by a Survival One helicopter.
The patrol says Lay was the operator of an eastbound 2007 Harley Davidson FLHTCI which ran off the right side of the road and struck a rock wall.
The crash happened about 11 p.m. in the 7000 block of Route Y.
The Harley Davidson was a total loss.
