Lillian Rose Zoellner (nee Richardet), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Saint Louis with family at her side at the age of 87.
Lillian was the loving mother of Denise (Patrick) Dolan, Renee (Arthur) Hammer, Michele (Gary) Capehart, and Christopher (Margaret) Zoellner; devoted grandmother of Bridget (Matthew) Fischer, Erin and Maureen Dolan, the late Molly Dolan, Brittany (Mitchell) Widau, Danielle and Craig Capehart, Samuel, Alexander, Emma, and Katie Zoellner; beloved great-grandmother of Thomas and Dolan Fischer, Nolan, Reese, and Drew Widau, and Dahlia Eifert.
Lillian was born in Perryville Missouri in 1934 to William and Rosa Richardet. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Rita (Elmer) Zahner, Lorena (Cletus) Wibbenmeyer, Ruth (Melbern) Schloss, Hubert (Rita) Richardet, Ralph (Rose Irma) Richardet, and Sr. Norma Jean Richardet. She was a dear aunt, great-aunt, great-grandaunt, cousin, and a friend to many.
Lillian enjoyed getting together with her old classmates from St. Vincent de Paul Class of 1952. She worked for over 25 years for the Carpenters District Council, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She was an avid gardener of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. She sewed, canned, baked, and was a wonderful cook. She was a farm girl deep at heart and it never left her.
Visitation will be Friday, June 10 from 9-10am at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 6303 Nottingham Avenue St. Louis MO 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Interment in Perryville Missouri.
No flowers, please. Instead, contributions in Lillian’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or the ALS Association would be greatly appreciated by her family.
