Seeking input on Missouri’s agriculture education programs

JEFFERSON CITY – We need your help! The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA), is seeking your input as we begin the process to create a strategic plan to guide Missouri Agricultural Education into the future!

Missouri agricultural education encompasses a variety of programs, organizations and learning opportunities. High school agricultural education courses and Missouri FFA are some of the most recognizable. However, this plan will also include agricultural education at the elementary, post-secondary, and adult levels. Once created, this strategic plan will guide all aspects of agricultural education in Missouri.

The process of updating the plan consists of a multi-pronged approach to ensure the opinions and ideas of all relevant stakeholders are heard. One of the early steps of the process is this stakeholder survey. The findings from the survey will be analyzed for key audiences and topics to consider as the development process moves forward.

This is where we need YOUR help! Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey and help advance agricultural education in Missouri. Your thoughts and opinions are vital to this development process. The survey will remain open until June 10.

We appreciate your patience as we work to gather as much input as possible.

If you have questions about the survey, please feel free to reach out to Keith Dietzschold at keith.dietzschold@dese.mo.gov .
