IDPH reports 19,551 new cases of COVID-19, a 39 percent increase from the previous week

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Friday reported 19,551 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois. That’s an increase of 5,502 or 39 percent  from the previous week’s 14,049. Randolph County, Illinois reported 13 new cases in the past week. Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 3,114,036

Donna Young receives Illinois Health Information Management Association honor

CHESTER — A Chester woman is being honored as the 2022 Distinguished Member of the Illinois Health Information Management Association. Donna Young, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, began her career in 1979 as a coder in the medical records department of Memorial Hospital in Chester.   She received her first credential, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) in 1992.
