Two SGHS FCCLA members qualify for national competition, again

STE. GENEVIEVE – Two members of the Ste. Genevieve High School Family, Career and Consumer Leaders of America (FCCLA) have qualified for the national competition held in San Diego, California during the summer.

Seniors Drew Newman and Maria Kemper researched mental health self-care and then created a video about their topic for the Digital Stories for Change STARS event.

This video included an overview of mental health and the conversation surrounding this common struggle, as well as ways to spot the signs, strategies for coping and tips on maintaining progress.

This is Maria’s third time qualifying for the national competition, and Drew’s fourth time qualifying.
