Friess to host prescription drug take back event

RED BUD, Ill. – On Monday, April 18th, Rep. David Friess (R-Red Bud) will be hosting a Prescription Drug Drop Off in partnership with the Sparta Police Department.

This FREE event will take place at the Sparta Police Department located at 114 West Jackson Street in Sparta from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to help get loose prescription medication off of our streets. So if you have expired, unwanted, or unneeded medication, please bring it by and we’ll dispose of it. This is a free event and I hope you will come by,” said Rep. Friess.

This is an outdoor event that can be done from the safety of your vehicle.

Acceptable items include mediation, ointments and patches, pet medication, and vitamins.

Needles, illegal drugs, and liquids are not accepted.
