JEFFERSON CITY — A 57-year-old French Village man died Sunday afternoon in a traffic crash on Osage Drive in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Charles L. Lake was prounounced at the scene by the St. Francois County Coroner.
The patrol says Lake was the driver of a northbound 2021 Polaris Ranger which crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway to the left. The driver over-corrected to the right and the vehicle re-entered the roadway and crossed the centerline and overturned off the right side of the roadway, ejecting the driver.
The crash happened about 5:35 p.m. south of Fish Pond Road.
There was minor damage to the Polaris, which was driven from the scene.
