Margie R. Pautler

A funeral will be held Saturday, February 11, 2022 for 78-year-old Margie R. Pautler of Columbia, Illinois, formerly of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 8:10 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2022 at Integrity Healthcare of Columbia, Columbia, Illinois.

 

She was born September 15, 1943 in Red Bud, Illinois, the daughter of William L. and Ruth Margaret (nee Schulein) Walter who both preceded her in death.

 

Margie married Norman Pautler on September 23, 1961 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Walsh, Illinois; he survives in Columbia, Ill.

 

She is also survived by two children: Rhonda (Stephen) Saputo of Columbia, and Kevin (Jane) Pautler of Columbia, three sisters: Doris (Charles) Rader of Walsh, Ill., Beverly (Richard) Braun of Centralia, Ill., and Donna Walter (Mark Walsh) of Phelan, California; two sisters in law: Needie (Roman) Walter Bleem of Walsh, Ill., and Patricia Walter of Ellis Grove, Ill., four grandchildren: Breanne Fiechtl, Brittany Fiechtl, Bryce Pautler and Jennifer Caron and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,

 

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Robert, Jerald, Randall and William Walter.

 

She had worked as a secretary at World Color Press in Sparta, Illinois for over 20 years and then a legal secretary of Ron Stanley for 20 years.

 

She was a current member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia and had been a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois for 26 years.

 

Margie enjoyed bowling, boating, dancing and music. She was a great cook and loved to travel.

 

Visitation will be 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Februrary 12, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.

 

A funeral for 78-year-old Margie R. Pautler of Columbia, Illinois will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud. Fr. Steven Pautler will officiate.

 

Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Illinois.

 

Memorials may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
