A funeral will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 for 79-year-old Dawn Ellen Cavanaugh of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri, who, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Howard Michael and Maude Lorraine (Beardmore) Sayre, who both preceded her in death.
Dawn married Bruce Cavanaugh November 21, 1969.
Survivors include two sons: Brett (Ali) Cavanaugh and Greg Cavanaugh, both of Ste. Genevieve; four grandchildren: Niamh (Brad) Johnson, Finn, Malachy, and Saoirse Cavanaugh; and two great-grandchildren: Fiona and Juliette.
She was also preceded in death by a sister: Darlene Jordan.
Dawn was a devoted homemaker and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her friends, playing golf and traveling.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve.
A funeral mass for 79-year-old Dawn Ellen Cavanaugh of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be in the Valle Springs Catholic Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
