MoDHSS reports COVID-19 numbers

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Missouri continues to rise according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service.

 

The seven-day total of confirmed and probable cases for the period ending January 7 was 67,373 a 14 percent increase over the 59,308 reported on January 4.

 

The average number of confirmed and probable cases per day was around 9,625.

 

The number of confirmed and probable deaths during the period was 25.

 

The vaccination rate in Missouri is 54.3 percent for those who have completed the vaccination series.

 

Perry County had 115 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending January 7th, nearly 14 percent lower than the seven days ending January 4th.

 

That’s a daily average of 16 new cases a day.

 

There were no deaths during the period.

 

The vaccination rate in Perry County is 39.7 percent.

 

Ste. Genevieve County had 140 new confirmed and probable cases during the seven days ending January 7th, a 30 percent increase over the seven days ending January 4th. That’s an average of 20 new cases a day.
