JEFFERSON CITY — Three persons suffered serious injuries Friday night in two separate ATV crashes on Perry County Road 616.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 31-year-old Austin K. Snyder of Jackson, 23-year-old Veronica N. Morelan of Cape Girardeau and 32-year-old Levi C. Lewis of Jackson were each taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by Perry County ambulances.
The patrol says Snyder was the driver of one ATV and Lewis was the driver of a second ATV with Morelan as a passenger.
The crashes happened when the eastbound ATVs ran off the road to avoid an unknown vehicle and both ATVs overturned.
The patrol says no one was wearing safety devices.
The crashes happened about 7:15 p.m. at Perry County Road 618.
Both ATVs were total losses.
