Filing ends for the April Municipal and School Election

PERRYVILLE — Yesterday was the last day to file for the municipal and school election in April.

There are seven filings for the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of Education:

Glendon Sattler filed for the three-year term.

Casey Brewer filed for the one-year term.

Melissa Hahn filed for the one-year term.

Roger Sample filed for the three-year term.

Dominic Blythe filed for the three-year term.

Chris Congiardo filed for a one-year term.

Incumbent board member Richard (Rich) Dix filed for re-election.

There is a three way race for Perryville mayor. The incumbent, Ken Baer and two challengers: Larry Riney, and Kenny Tucker.

All of the other incumbents at city hall have filed for re-election: Direk L. Hunt for City Marshal, Tom Guth for Alderman Ward 1, Curt Buerck for Alderman Ward 2, Prince E. Hudson for Alderman Ward 3. In addition, Clinton Rice filed for Aldermen Ward 3.

In Ste. Genevieve, three of the four incumbent city aldermen, whose terms expire in April have filed for re-election: Robert Donovan in Ward 2, Jeff Eydmann in Ward 3 and Joe Prince in Ward 4. Newcomer Kristi Cleghorn filed for Ward 1 alderman.

The fourth incumbent, Gary Smith in Ward 1 did not file for re-election.

Six newcomers have filed for seats on the Ste. Genevieve R-II Board of Education: Jamie Ballew, Michael Stoll, Larry Pfaff, Joshua Gettinger, Samuel Barbagallo and Brad Arnold.

Filing ended at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
