A funeral will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 for 95-year-old June B. Cash of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 9:24 pm, Friday, November 19, 2021 at Coulterville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Coulterville, Illinois.
She was born June 3, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Oliver E. and Frances B. (nee Hoffmann) Arnsmeyer, who both preceded her in death.
June married Rev. Eric Cash on September 23, 1947 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Maplewood, Missouri; he preceded her in death on July 28, 2002.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Steven D.) Egge of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Mary (Duane) Hilgendorf of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a daughter in law: Ann (Mark) Jackson of Waterloo, Ill.; six grandchildren: Tammy (Chris) Horos, Shelley Naeger, Jason (Susan) Cash, Steven J. (Tracy) Egge, Sam (Kay) Hilgendorf and Bethany VanHouten; nine great grandchildren: Colin Horos, Marci Naeger, Eric Cash, Ethan Egge, Jacob Egge, Derrick Egge, Heather Hilgendorf, Bo VanHouten and Jack VanHouten
She was also preceded in death by: a son: Eric “Rick” Cash, a grandson: Scott Egge and two sisters: Gladys Arnsmeyer and Juanita Metzger.
She was a homemaker.
June was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois. She taught Sunday School and participated in several Bible study groups.
She was accomplished as a landscape painter, crocheter and knitter.
June enjoyed reading and was a member of a book discussion group at Chester Public Library.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Chester.
A funeral for 95-year-old June B. Cash of Chester will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Chester. Officiating: Rev. Justin Massey.
Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Chester.
