SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Department of Public Health says the number of persons fully immunized for COVID-19 in the Prairie State is nearing 7.7 million doses or 70.9 percent of the eligible population.
The IDPH says Randolph County has vaccinated 45.35 percent of its eligible population, that is 14,559 fully vaccinated individuals. It reports 2,424 booster doses have been administered.
The IDPH reports 537 persons aged 12-17, 9,141 aged 18-64 and 4,880 aged 65 or over have been fully vaccinated.
It is too soon to report fully vaccinated ages 5-11, but 37 children have received their initial vaccination.
There are 715 persons aged 18-64 and 1,669 aged 65-plus who have recevied the booster shots in Randolph County.
