STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Elementary School students had the opportunity to learn about various career paths as the school conducted its annual Career Day last month.
Students had the opportunity to meet several local business professionals and organizations.
The members of the Student Lighthouse team led the program.
Several local businesses and professionals took the time to present to and engage with the students about their respective careers:
Amy Helvey, aerospace engineer;
Elisha Gegg, entrepreneur;
John Ruessler, police sergeant;
Dr. Kaitlyn Lukefahr, optometrist with Ste. Genevieve Vision Care;
Charles Drost, storyboard artist;
Rikki Shaefer, physician assistant; and Kyle Schaefer, electrical engineer.
A school official said “Thanks to careful planning and collaboration among staff and community members, our students experienced fun, informational presentations about possible careers!”
