STE. GENEVIEVE – Veterans in the Ste. Genevieve community will be remembered and honored at several events next week on Tuesday, Nov. 9; Wednesday, Nov. 10 and Veterans’ Day itself, Thursday, Nov. 11.
The Ste. Genevieve Museum Learning Center will show a special exhibit to mark Veterans Day. Visitors will be able to tour the museum and see a private collection of WWII artifacts starting with an opening ceremony at noon on Sunday the 7th. Tickets are available on line or may be purchased in person at the Museum Learning Center. Tickets are $20, however there is no cost to attend ceremony on Sunday the 7th. The tickets will be good for entry to the Museum and the private tour is included in the ticket. The opening ceremony will include guest speaker Philip Kwan. The Museum will be open every day from November 7th to November 14th from 11am-4pm. The private collection can be toured at 2 p.m. Twenty percent of the proceeds will be donated to Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial.

Wednesday, Nov 10: 8 a.m. Catholic Mass at the Church of Ste. Genevieve followed by coffee and doughnuts in the Valle cafeteria.
Wednesday, Nov. 10: 11 a.m., lunch at American Legion Hall sponsored by Ste. Genevieve High School.
Wednesday, Nov. 10: 12:15pm, Parade of Veterans to Ste. Genevieve High School.
Wednesday, Nov. 10: 1:45pm, Ste. Genevieve Schools Veterans Day program in the Gym.
Veterans who would like to participate in the Parade of Veterans are asked to RSVP to the VFW Hall by phone, after 4 p.m. (573) 883-2207. Leave a message if there is no answer. Thursday, Nov. 11: 11 a.m. Traditional Veterans Day ceremony at the American Legion Hall
Thursday, Nov. 11: Avenue of Flags display at the VFW Hall. Flags will be taken down in the afternoon so visit during the morning if possible.
