Regular Meeting of Board of Trustees

Minutes of October 25, 2021

 

  1. Call to order for regular session: A regular session of the Sainte Genevieve County Health Department was called to order by Robert Bach on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 4:05 PM at the Sainte Genevieve County Health Department located at 115 Basler Dr., Sainte Genevieve, MO 63670.

 

  1. Roll Call: Board members answering the roll call were Robert Bach, Dr. Matthew Bosner, James Brochtrup, and Carl Kinsky.

 

  1. Approval of agenda: James Brochtrup made a motion to approve the agenda. This motion was seconded by Dr. Bosner and approved by the board members present unanimously.

 

  1. Consent Agenda: A motion was made by Mr. Brochtrup to approve the consent agenda,  consisting of the minutes of the previous meeting, financial statements, and transactions by account. . This motion was seconded by Dr. Bosner. The motion was passed by the board members present unanimously.

 

  1. Director’s report: Health Department Administrator Jenny Mueller made her director’s report. Highlights include:

 

            Covid:             The vaccination rate for the county population over 12 years of age was 53.2% initiated, and 49.4% completed vaccination.  The Health Department will continue offering the Moderna vaccine but the numbers requesting it has dropped.  The Health Department will continue to give booster doses.  The number of covid cases was 248 for August, 208 for September, and 96 so far for October, with approximately 85% of the cases involving persons not vaccinated.

 

            Flu shots:        The Health Department’s drive through flu shot clinic at the Ste. Genevieve firehouse served 163 people, a record number.

 

            Board member training:  Board member training is scheduled for October 28, 2021.

 

  1. Old business – testing of non-vaccinated employees: The Board decided that it would reevaluate its requirement of testing for non-vaccinated employees after January 1, 2022.

 

  1. New business – Administrative Policy Manual: The Board reviewed the first 20 pages of the current administrative policy manual for possible changes.

 

  1. Next scheduled meeting: The next scheduled meeting of the Health Department Board is November 22, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.  The December meeting is tentatively scheduled for December 20, 2021.

 

  1. Regular meeting adjournment: A motion was made by Mr. Brochtrup to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was seconded by Dr. Bosner, sand passed unanimously by the board members present.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:36
