Ste. Genevieve preschool picks pumpkins

STE. GENEVIEVE — Students in Rose Kreitler’s pre-school class at Ste. Genevieve Elementary School recently visited their on-campus pre-school pumpkin patch to pick their own special pumpkin to bring back to class.

The youngsters learned about pumpkins, exploring different parts of the plants and the different stages of growth.

Once back in the classroom, the students used the vines, pumpkins and seeds for learning activities, such as investigations, building vocabulary, discussions, documentation through drawings, measurements and much more!
