A funeral was held Saturday, October 30, 2021 for 92-year-old Lois Marie Bergman of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born March 30, 1929 in Belleville, Ill. the daughter of Frank and Mary (Krause) Benedict, who both preceded her in death.
She and Frank “Bill” Bergman were married May 6, 1950 at Belleville, Ill.
She is survived by two sons: Michael Bergman of Perryville and David Bergman of Phenix City, Alabama; a daughter: Teresa Schnurbusch of Sparta, Ill.; a step-brother, Paul Geppert; a step-sister: Mary Waite; six grandchildren: Jennifer, John, Angela, Ashley, Chelsea, and Aja, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jeremy.
She was a homemaker and worked as a typesetter for the Republic-Monitor for many years.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and a volunteer for the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.
Visitation was 9-11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 92-year-old Lois Marie Bergman of Perryville was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Fr. Ben Melaku C.M. officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
