The Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville has announced the passing of 85-year-old Edward Szabelski of Perryville, Missouri Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1936 in Tamaroa, Illinois to Jerome Szabelski and Silverine Miller Szabelski, who both preceded him in death.
He and Anna Ruth Szabelski were married July 5, 1958. She preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Catholic Faith.
He loved golf, NASCAR racing, and soap operas.
Survivors include a daughter: Betty (Randy) Denton of Perryville; two sisters: Jody Bowen and Cecelia Osman, both of Chester, Ill.; a brother: Ronnie Szabelski of Ashley, Ill.; four grandchildren: Joseph (Melinda) Szabelski of Sedgewickville, James (Amanda) Denton of Perryville, Travis (Lisa) Denton of Perryville, and Barbara Ann Szabelski of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Edward E. Szabelski.
