Quintin T. Huck

A funeral will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 for 89-year-old Quintin T. Huck of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri, who passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Mo.

He was born July 23, 1932 in Bloomsdale, Mo., the son of Joseph Huck and Gertrude (Drury) Huck, who both preceded him in death.

He married Marlene M (Kriete) Huck. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by four daughters: Kathleen Brown of Chester, Illinois, Gail Huck of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jeannine Kettinger of Sainte Genevieve, and Joanne Friedman of St. Louis; two sons: Allan (Linda) Huck of Sainte Genevieve and Dale (Jennifer) Huck of Imperial, Mo.; two sisters: Sister Marlene Huck of O’Fallon, MO. and Sister Darlene Huck of O’Fallon, Mo.; a brother: Duane (Billie Jean) Huck of Festus, Mo.; a life partner, Judi Hirte of Chester, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a great great Grandson.

He was also preceded in death by five sisters: Agnes Smith, Augusta Werner, Eudoxia “Dot” Stuhr, Adelle Downs, and Nadejda “Deet” Kertz; and three brothers: Joseph Huck Jr., Urban Huck, and Aelred Huck.

 

He was a member of Golden Age Club, CMA in St. Mary, MO.

Quintin was lifelong fiddle player and teacher. He taught over 250 people how to play the fiddle. Quintin enjoyed playing with the LaGuignolee in Ste. Genevieve and Bloomsdale.

He also enjoyed line dancing and loved to teach anyone to dance.

Quintin owned and operated the LaHaye Street Grocery Market for many years.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 and 9-10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2021 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.

A funeral for 89-year-old Quintin T. Huck of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Basler Funeral Home.


Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.
