A funeral will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 for 89-year-old Mary C. Dippold of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born October 28, 1931 in Apple Creek, Missouri to Herman and Cordula (Winschel) Ponder, who both preceded her in death.
She and Leslie L. Dippold were married September 24, 1955. He preceded her in death March 23, 2019.
She is survived by four brothers: Donald (Nita) Ponder of St. Louis, Mo., Glennon (Faye) Ponder of Eureka, Mo., Francis ‘Fritz’ (Joan) Ponder of St. Mary, Mo. and David (Sandy) Ponder of Houston, Tex.; and one sister, Jane (Terrell) Weaver of Jackson, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Herman Ponder; and a sister: Dorothy Ponder.
Mary worked for Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator and lastly worked for Wal-Mart as a stocking clerk.
Mary had a special interest in her pets and spoiling them was the joy in her life.
She loved picking up pecans from the pecan tress on her farm; one fall she picked up more than 700 pounds of pecans.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 89-year-old Mary C. Dippold of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel School Building Fund.
