Clovis M. French

A funeral will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 for 95-year-old Clovis M. French of Perryville, who went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, October 2, 2021.

He was born September 20, 1926 in Cedar Fork, Missouri, the son of Arthur H. and Ellen M. (Heaps) French, who both preceded him in death.

Clovis and Leona K. Rutherford were married August 10, 1946. They were married 65 years before her passing, December 14, 2011.

Loving survivors include his children: Roger C. (Brenda) French of Perryville, Sheila (Gerry) Duvall of Perryville and Ron C. (Mimi) French of Wichita, Kansas; sisters: Ruby Cox and Judy Gromer, both of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren,  four great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Cissell; brothers: Kenneth, Curtis and Herbert; and sisters: Wanda and Leona.

Clovis was a member of Whitewater Christian Church.

He worked in construction and as a truck driver.

He was a man of high integrity and was well respected in the community.

Clovis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a good friend to many.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 4-8 p.m., 8-9 a.m. Friday at Ford and Young Funeral Home and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Whitewater Christian Church.

A funeral for 95-year-old Clovis M. French of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Whitewater Christian Church with Pastor Ray White officiating.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Whitewater Christian Church.
