Wisdom named MAC Vice President of Finance and Administration

PARK HILLS, MO – Mineral Area College has named Lynne Wisdom, CPA, CPFO, as its new Vice President of Finance and Administration. Wisdom officially transitioned into the role on July 1, after serving as the college’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer for the past 18 months.

Wisdom brings nine years of banking experience to the position, as well as a deep history with MAC, having first joined the college’s staff in 2006 as an adjunct instructor in the business department before transitioning to a full-time faculty role in 2008.

“Lynne has been an invaluable asset to Mineral Area College for two decades, bridging the worlds of the classroom and administration,” said MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour. “Her deep financial expertise, combined with her dedication to our institutional mission, makes her the ideal leader to guide our financial strategy. I look forward to working closely with her to ensure MAC remains strong, stable, and focused on student success.”

As the Vice President of Finance and Administration, Wisdom will steer the college’s financial and administrative planning, direct the daily operations of the business office, and collaborate closely with the leadership team.

“I am honored to step into this new role and continue serving the college that has been such a huge part of my career,” Wisdom said. “Having been both a faculty member and part of the finance team, I understand how deeply our fiscal health impacts our students and staff. I look forward to working alongside Dr. Gilgour and the administrative team to ensure we manage our resources effectively and continue to thrive.”

Wisdom is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO). She earned an Associate of Arts from Mineral Area College, a Bachelor of Science from Central Methodist University, and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. She’s active in the community as the treasurer of Bismarck First Baptist Church. A lifelong resident of the area, she was born and raised in Bismarck, where she continues to live with her husband, Landon, and their daughter, Paisley.
