CHESTER — The Mississippi Valley Art Guild Artist of the Month for September is William Lang of Chester.
Bill has been wood carving since he was eight years old and has worked with intarsia for more than 25 years.
Also, he is a musician-songwriter who can sometimes be heard jamming at the MVAG gallery or the public library in Chester.
His beautiful work consists of themes of animals and nature and can be viewed at the Buena Vista Bank, Southern Illinois Eye Care Center, Reid’s Harvest House and the public library.
One can also purchase his pieces at the MVAG gallery and the Popeye store.
The guild meets the last Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at 611 State Street in Chester.
