William “Bill” Winters

William “Bill” Winters went to heaven Friday,  September 5, 2025 at the age of 83 after fighting pancreatic cancer for 17 months. He was a passionate advocate for life-from conception to natural death.

He not only talked the talk, but he walked the walk. Bill had a big heart, he volunteered at Our Lady’s Inn and the food pantry. He drove people to their physician appointments, worked with the disabled at therapeutic horsemanship and volunteered with countless other charities. He was very involved with Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and Missouri Right to Life. If there was someone in need-he was there to help. He was love in action.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne Winters nee McKinley; his seven children, Ann (John) Keeven, Jennifer (Matt) Edler, Claire Richards, Elizabeth (Derek) Meyers, Will Winters, Emily Winters-Lehman, and John Winters; siblings, Clarita, Mary, Joseph (Linda),  Daniel (Sue), Gerarda “Doots” (Kenny), Mark, and Tim; grandchildren, Bridget, Megan, and Emma Keeven, Anna and Heidi Edler, Roland, Calvin, and Jane Richards, Sabra, Anthony, and Charlie Meyers, Milo, Peter, and Octavia Lehman;  and great-grandson, Marshawn. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Winters, mother, Philomena Winters (nee’ Meyer), siblings, Thomas, Richard, and Jerome “Butch”.
