William “Bill” Raymond Stange, 79 years old of Sainte Genevieve, MO
passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at his home in Sainte Genevieve, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 25, 1943 in Sainte Genevieve.
He married Judy (Otto) Stange on January 8, 1966
He is survived by: his wife: Judy Stange of Sainte Genvieve; a son: Bill (Donna Wigfall) Stange III of Sikeston, Mo.; a daughter: Julie (Bruce) Terry of Bloomsdale, Mo.; a sister: Elaine (Belated Frank) Sherwood of Sainte Genevieve; grandchildren: Rebecca Woodard, and Luke, Maddie, and Wade Terry; a special niece: Christine (Steve) Williams and many other nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his father: William R. Stange, Sr.; mother: Vergie L. (Samples) Stange; three sisters: Dr. Betty L. (belated Bob Hull) Stange, Lorraine L. Stange, and Wanda “Jeannie” Jean Stange.
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve Friday, April 7, 2023 from 9 a.m. till 12 noon.
A funeral for 79-year-old William “Bill” Raymond Stange will be held at noon Friday, April 7 at the Basler Funeral Home.The Rev. Steve Mathews will officiate.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, with military honors.

After high school, Bill proudly worked on the railroad before serving two years in The United States Army.
He went on to work at Chrysler Corp. for 31 years and was a member of The United Auto Workers.
After retiring from Chrysler, he worked part time as a grounds keeper at the Bolduc House Museum properties.
He enjoyed deer hunting, reading, watching westerns, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
