Who Wants to Push the Button? Chester Bridge Demolition Raffle Underway

You can be a part of history! The Chester Chamber of Commerce and the Chester Parks and Recreation Department are holding a community raffle to celebrate the demolition of the 1942 truss bridge, which was recently replaced by the new Don Welge Memorial Bridge.

Ames Construction is giving one lucky person the opportunity to press the button to demolish the structure on September 21 at 9 a.m.

Tickets are available for purchase at Chester City  Hall for $50 or three for $100.
The drawing will be held September 18.

Because the raffle is jointly organized by the city’s Chamber of Commerce and the Parks and Recreation division, the funds raised are funneled back into community development, local parks, and civic recreation projects.
