Two persons hurt, one seriously, in Perry County crash

JEFFERSON CITY – Two persons were hurt in a traffic crash Wednesday evening on Perry County Road 208.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 21-year-old Cape Girardeau woman had serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital South by an Air Evac helicopter. The other person, a 17-year-old female, had minor injuries and was taken by Perry County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Perry.

The report says the injured females were passengers in a 2006 Ford F350 which ran off the road, traveled up an embankment, struck a tree and overturned.

The driver of the F350 was a Perryville male, aged 21. His injuries, if any, were not reported.

The driver was unrestrained, but the passengers were buckled up.

The crash happened west of Route E, about 6:25 p.m.

The F350 was a total loss and was removed by Boyd’s Towing.
