Three local students earn degrees at CMU

FAYETTE, MO — Central Methodist University celebrated its Spring 2026 commencement on May 9 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette campus.

CMU alumnus Terry Henderson ’83 gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff, and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the master’s, bachelor’s, and associate’s levels.

The following local students were among Central’s graduates for the semester:

Morgan Sue Deppe, of Perryville — Bachelor of Science in Nursing (nursing)

Kimberly Ann Bauer, of Frohna — Bachelor of Science in Education (special education)

Joseph Michael Williams, of Saint Mary — Bachelor of Science (educational studies)

Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, Mo., and through extension sites and online.
